Frenectomy

A frenectomy can be performed to remove an extra tissue attachment to allow space closure between teeth.

Sometimes a tissue attachment called a “frenum” is positioned close to the gum line and tooth. This tension created can cause thin gum tissue, recession or even spaces between teeth. Removal of the frenum can allow closure of the space orthodontically to align teeth in the correct position. Many times, the frenum is removed during gum grafting procedures to allow treatment of recession or thin gum tissue.

TESTIMONIAL

“It gave me hope again, because my teeth looked terrible. I wouldn’t talk. I wouldn’t smile. I decided it was time for me to feel good about myself. Since I have had this procedure, my life has been rich. I talk, I laugh.”
